PHOENIX, AZ – Portugal-based tower crane manufacturer Soima is rebranding to Stafford Tower Cranes, with this move building on the Stafford Crane Group’s 2021 acquisition of Soima.

Each model from Soima’s lines, ranging from five to 42-tonne maximum loads, will now be given a new designation in alignment with the Stafford Tower Cranes brand and now be available globally.

The company is also introducing eight new luffing crane models under the Stafford Tower Cranes brand, including three conventional luffing tower cranes and five hydraulic luffing jib cranes. The latter group of cranes will feature a “flat mode” that allows operators to use the machine like a typical flat top trolley crane.

The rebrand and new line are all a part of Stafford’s modernization plans for the year, with these new designs coming from the team’s research and development at its tower crane hub design office.

“We now have an extensive 2024-2025 modernization and innovation program in place to introduce new crane designs and models to the market. All are our own designs from our newly established Milano Tower Crane Hub design office,” said company president Patrick N. Stafford. “We are delighted to announce three new luffing crane models from 16 tonnes to 42 tonnes of a conventional design, with a further five models with a hydraulic luffing jib.”
