Mammoet restructuring into two business units for large project work, crane rental

UTRECHT, Netherlands – Mammoet, the world’s largest heavy lifting and specialized transport company, has announced Project Elevate, an internal initiative that will divide the company into two distinct business units to better serve its customers.

According to the company, Project Elevate aims to increase agility, efficiency and effectiveness across Mammoet by dividing the company into two separate business units, with one focusing on large, project-based work and the other overseeing crane rental.

Mammoet currently employs 5,769 worjkers across 124 depots around the world. With this change, Mammoet’s COO, Jan Kleijn, will lead the large project business unit. The crane rental division will be overseen by the company’s current regional director of Europe, Wouter van Noort.
