Brandt to expand presence across Canada’s material handling sector
May 3, 2024 By CHC Staff
REGINA – The Brandt Group of Companies announced plans to expand its Canadian dealer network of material handling equipment over the next three years, with the expansion set to create up to 300 new jobs.
This move looks to build on Brandt’s 2021 acquisition of Cervus Equipment, which saw the company acquire Cervus’ material handling operations from Alberta through Manitoba. This expansion will see them increase their material handling presence, including both equipment and aftersales support to exist on a nationwide scale.
This expansion includes plans to open material handling-focused Brandt stores in new territories that will focus on delivering forklift brands and offer rental fleets, parts networks and a dedicated service network for repairs and preventative maintenance.
“We believe that the material handling sector is primed for growth and in need of a nationwide alternative to the existing patchwork of small dealer groups,” said Shaun Semple, CEO of Brandt. “That is why we’re using the lessons we have learned from growing the agriculture, construction & forestry, and transportation pillars of our business to create a fourth pillar to serve the material handling industry.”
